Curriculum

Kettering Buccleuch Academy offers an engaging and inspiring curriculum designed to bring out the best in everyone and instil in our students a lifelong love of learning.

Our broad and balanced curriculum, which covers all the key areas of the National Curriculum, includes both academic and vocational subjects.  As students progress through the academy, they can choose from a wider range of subjects depending on their interests.  Our dedicated and energetic teachers make lessons fun, interesting and stimulating for all students.

We concentrate on making sure each student receives an education that suits their individual abilities.  Our personalised learning programme means we provide extra support – either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups – to students who may be struggling.  Our more able students have the opportunity to reach their full potential through our Gifted and Talented programme, which offers extension activities during the normal academy day and beyond.

We also run optional booster classes after school and in the holidays.  These classes provide extra tuition in certain subjects giving students the opportunity to enhance their levels of achievement and success.
