A message from the Chair

I feel honoured to hold the position of Chairman of Kettering Buccleuch Academy's Local Governing Body (LGB) and assist Principal Dawn Cotter in creating an outstanding academy.

The role of the LGB is a non-executive one; it supports the Executive Team in monitoring progress, raising standards and helping to relate the academy to the community that it serves and the wider world. The LGB is also there to encourage and facilitiate professional development and academic performance and ensure vocational courses are appropriate to the area.

We want all academy students to receive an education which challenges and inspires them, so they can lead successful and fulfilling lives. With children entering the academy at the age of four, we can give them a consistently high standard of education throughout their schools years and fully prepare them for further and higher education and for adult life.

I look forward to working with parents, staff and other individuals in the wider community to make sure that Kettering Buccleuch Academy is the success it deserves to be.
