Local Governing Body
As an academy, Kettering Buccleuch Academy is independent of the local authority but is still subject to the usual checks and inspections. It receives regular Ofsted inspections and is accountable to a Local Governing Body (LGB).
The LGB works with the Principal to ensure that standards at the academy are improving. It is also responsible for setting policies on matters such as admissions and behaviour.
The LGB consists of representatives from the staff (both teaching and non-teaching), parents and members of the local community. The United Learning Trust is responsible for recruiting the other members of the LGB.
The Acting Chair of the LGB is David Laing.
