A message from the Duke of Buccleuch
We are pleased that the Duke of Buccleuch, whose name we share, has agreed to be President of Kettering Buccleuch Academy. The Buccleuch estate has a long-lasting connection with Kettering, particularly in promoting education, and we are looking forward to benefiting from its knowledge and understanding of the local area.
“I extend a warm welcome to everyone who joins the new Kettering Buccleuch Academy – students, staff and parents. It is an exciting and aspirational new venture with which I am pleased to be associated.
"For nearly five hundred years my family has lived at Boughton, at the heart of the community served by the new Kettering Buccleuch Academy. During this time, they have gained considerable experience in supporting and working with education at a local level and I am delighted to continue this association.
"We recognise the incredibly important contribution the academy has to make to young people’s education and wellbeing in northern Kettering and the surrounding villages. We very much look forward to working with the academy to support it in its goals and further develop meaningful relationships between the educational, cultural, historic and rural sectors.
"I wish each and every one of you the very best as you begin an exciting time at Kettering Buccleuch Academy and hope that it fulfills all our expectations in helping you to excel and achieve your goals.”
