A welcome from our Principal, Miss Dawn Cotter

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about Kettering Buccleuch Academy, a school at the heart of its community, giving children a consistently high standard of education throughout their school years.

Beginning life at a new school whether your child is starting for the very first time at the age of 4 or is transferring from another school into Year 7 is an important milestone in their life. In choosing Kettering Buccleuch Academy you will have chosen a place that seeks to bring out ‘the best in everyone’. To achieve this we encourage our students to be aspirational young people and we help them in every way that we can to achieve those aspirations. In doing so we believe it is important for them to develop a strong sense of self, to know what they want out of life and to understand that hard work along with a positive attitude and self belief will get them there.

Our name reflects our strong links with the Duke of Buccleuch, whose family connection with Kettering stretches back for almost 500 years and remains very much alive today.  We are delighted to be supported by the Duke’s estate and benefit from its experience in promoting education in this area.
